Dakar 2017

After the Atacama rally (Chile) in August, our shake-down in Spain in September and the Oilibya rally in Morocco in October we shipped our motorcycles and assistance vehicles in Le Havre France. We call this ‘the point of no return’. Yesterday we flew to Argentina to pick-up our vehicles and drive to Paraguay where the start of the 2017 Dakar will be. Again the competitors (both riders and assistance) will have to deal with the altitude, the heat, the cold, the rain, and all other daily challenges the Dakar will provide for sure!

On the 2nd of January a new adventure begins! But before that we still have a very busy program.

27 December:    Collection of vehicles Buenos Aires Argentina + first part driving to Paraguay.
28 December:    Second part driving to Paraguay + border crossing.
29 December:    First working day in Assistance park + arrival riders
30 December:    Second working day in assistance park. Final checks bikes, trucks and vans / preparation for scrutineering
31 December:    Administrative and technical checks
1 January:          Competitors briefing + start podium
2 January:          Prologue (69 km)
8 January:          Rest day in La Paz, Bolivia
14 January:        Last stage / Finish in Buenos Aires
15 January:        Return vehicles to the port and return flight
