- Erik Klomp (NED)
Mart joins us for the second time. Last year he successfully participated in the 2014 Dakar. He’s not only fast on his bike, his sportive life started with snowcross and jet ski races. With his bike he participated several times in the RedBull Romaniacs. In 2013 he gained some Rally experience in the Tuareg Rally (Morocco) and in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge (FIM World Championship rally). Last year he finished Dakar on a 40st Position, this year he’s aiming for a better result…

Jeroen travelled the world. He drove cars through the Sahara Desert; crossed the heart of Africa on his own; took his bike to the west of the USA and drove it to Panama. Then, after seeing Jimmink (Best ever Dutch Dakar Motorcyle pilot) in the Dakar it became clear. Jeroen set his goals and his preparation began… He rode and finished 11 rallies. In 2009 he went to Dakar as a mechanic. His strong point: navigation. Want to learn more about Jeroen? Please check: https://www.jeroennaardakar.nl

Erik already started young with motocross. But because his family was moving abroad to Asia he had to leave it after the age of 13. Then in 1986 he was planning to join the Dakar Rally and for the necessary training he drove in 6 weeks with his BMW 80GS from Netherlands to Cairo to gain desert experience. However financially it did not work out. 25 Years later he decided again it was time to join the Dakar Rally. In 2010 he made his plan how to get the experience and train his body for riding a Dakar. He joined several rallies in Libya, Tunis, Turkey, Morocco and Greece. Besides that he also joined two FIM rallies (World Championship) in 2014, where he proved that he was able to ride competitive in different terrains, such as mountains and deserts using the navigations systems like the ones used in the Dakar. Now after all his training and experience he is ready to participate in the 2015 Dakar to face his ultimate life challenge.
